John D. Bailey John David Bailey, 68, died Sept. 23, 2006 at his residence. Services were Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Brown officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. A graveside visitation will be from 1:45 p.m. until service time at Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Mr. Bailey was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Webster County, to the late Zader Mae Vail and Robert E. Lee Bailey Sr. He was a night watchman for The Commercial Dispatch and formerly a Barber at Columbus Air Force Base. Mr. Bailey was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Joe Allen Bailey, Robert E. Lee Bailey Jr. and sisters Lera Bailey Hamilton and Opal Bailey. Survivors include his daughter, Bonnie M. Bailey of Brandon; son, John E.L. Bailey of Steens; and sisters, Nancy B. Prevost of Columbus and Zader Lee Bailey of Meridian. Pallbearers will be Wade Hamilton, Todd Bailey, John Wesley Prevost, Grady Alvin Prevost, Vernon Morgan and Dallas Josey.
