Margaret McIlwain Boozer Margaret McIlwain Boozer, 86, died Sept. 16, 2003 at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Sept. 20 at Artesia United Methodist Church, Reverends Billy Develin and Jimmy Jackson officiating. Burial was in Pythian Cemetery in Artesia. Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Boozer was born Feb. 9, 1917 in Columbus to the late Oscar L. and Idylette Watson McIlwain. She was a member of the Artesia United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. She loved playing cards. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was predeceased by a sister, Mamie Stockstill, and by her husband, Lester Fripp Boozer. She worked with the Artesia State Bank as an accountant and for the Southern Bell as a teller. Survivors include daughters Donna Lamar (George) of Bartlett, Tenn. and Idylette Roberson (Tim) of Houston, Tex.; grandchildren Madelyn Jones (Robert), Stephen Lamar, Mark Roberson, Matt Roberson and Max Roberson; a sister, Nita Myers of Gulfport; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Stephen Lamar, Robert Jones, Chuck Myers, Scott Brown, Bobby Prichard and Newton Guerry.
