Sherlene B. Boykin

SHUQUALAK - Sherlene B. Boykin, 62, died Sept. 23, 2006, at Noxubee 
General Hospital in Macon.

Services were today at 11 a.m. at Butler Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak 
with Rayburn Druey, Gerald Butler and Bobby Joe Butler officiating. 
Burial followed in Butler Cemetery in Shuqualak. Cockrell Funeral 
Home Inc. of Macon was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Boykin was born Nov. 23, 1943, to the late Thomas Eugene 
and Ola C. Reynolds Butler. She was a lifelong resident of 
Shuqualak and a member of Butler Pentecostal Church. 

She was a graduate of Shuqualak High School and attended 
East Mississippi Junior College. She served as Justice Court
 judge in Noxubee County for 20 years.She is survived by 
her husband, Pete Boykin of Shuqualak; daughters, Sherrie 
and Sandy Eaves, both of Macon; son, Bill Boykin of Preston; 
sisters, Abbie Hadaway of Macon and Lynda Butler of 
Philadelphia; brothers, Calvin Butler of New Hope and 
Roy Butler of Caledonia; and 10 grandchildren.
