June 18, 1951 A. S. Fox Rites in Artesia Today Employe(sic) of Drug Firm Dies in Hospital Here; Was Long in Ill Health Services for A. S. Fox, who died last night at Columbus Hospital, were held this afternoon at 3 at Artesia Methodist Church, with the Rev. A. N. Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Artesia with Gunter Funeral Home in Charge. Mr. Fox, a well known employee of Gardner-Myer Drug Store, had been ill for some time. Born in Oktibbeha County 59 years ago, he had lived in Columbus for eight years. He leaves two brothers, E. L. Fox of Artesia, W. W. Fox of Mobile; two sisters, Miss Emily Fox of Artesia, Mrs. M. L. Brett of Clarksdale. Active pall bearers were Emmett McIlwain, Jr., Will Cook, Jr., John McIlwain, Emmett McIlwain, Sr., George Jones, Oscar McIlwain, Sam Hill.
