Muriel Glover Guerry Mrs. Muriel Glover Guerry, age 84, of Columbus died Saturday, November 24, 2007, at indsor Place Nursing Center. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home tonight, Monday, November 26, 2007, from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM, at Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Curtis Bray and Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Artesia, MS. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, to the late Isaiah and Louise Rogers Glover, Muriel found the love of her life in a returning WWII soldier and followed him to Artesia, MS. She sacrificed the bright lights of the big city to love and cultivate a thriving, God-fearing family. Over the next 60 years, Muriel would become known as a wonderful woman full of God's love. Muriel is happy now, reunited with her husband and dancing in Heaven. Her family is thankful for her time here on earth and celebrate her legacy. We know that through Christ, she lives. Mrs. Guerry was a member of Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church, and was active in the North MS. Emmaus Community, having gone on the first walk in North Ms. Mrs. Guerry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William W. Guerry, Sr., and her son-in-law, George Renacker, III. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Guerry Renacker of Artesia. MS, and sons, Bill Guerry (Nancy), Newton Guerry (Melanie) and Paul Guerry (Patti), all of Columbus and one brother-in-law Edward Guerry (Sara Frances) of Artesia., 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
