James Hicks

James Hicks, 62, of Columbus, died Aug.23, 2006, in West Point. Services 
will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Fourth Street MB
Church with the Rev. Jimmy Rice officiating. Burial will be at East Sandcreek 
Cemetery in Mayhew. Visitation will be 
today from 3 to 8 p.m. at Carter's Funeral Services of Columbus. 
Mr. Hicks was born Nov. 27, 1943, in Columbus, to Corene 
Hicks and the late Arnold Hicks. In addition to his father, he was 
preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Kidd Hicks. In 
addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, A.Z., Robert, 
Eddie, Sammie L., Jerry and Glenn Hicks, all of 
Harrisburg, Pa., and Willie T. Hicks of Columbus; and sisters, 
Katherine Hicks, Lena Harriston, Louise Jordan, Annie 
Johnson, Doris Potlow and Susie Smith, all of Columbus. DeAndre 
Potlow and Essix, Lawyer, Christopher and Dennis 
Hicks will serve as pallbearers.
