Elizabeth Kerr Elizabeth Kerr, 94, died Dec. 30, 2004, at Aurora Australis Lodge in Columbus. Services were held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Hawkins officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Kerr was born July 15, 1910, in Sunflower County, Miss., to the late George Arthur and Mary Myers Seacott. She lived most of her life in Columbus, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired from Beneke Corp.and was a homemaker. Mrs. Kerr enjoyed reading, playing her organ, singing, gardening, visiting with friends, fishing, quilting, and spending time with her family. She made many of the children's and grandchildren's play clothes, as well as a legacy quilt for each of the children and many of the grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde M. Kerr, two sons, James Edward Hodnette and Bobby Allen Kerr, and three sisters, Lottie Kerr, Minnie Thompson, and Lois Price. Mrs. Kerr is survived by her daughters, Louise K. Cash (Edward) and Adeline K. Fendley (George Waymon), both of Columbus;sons, John A. "Buddy" Kerr (Mavis) of Columbus, and David C. Kerr of Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Phillip Cash, Johnny Kerr, Scott Kerr, George Fendley, Marty Cash, Sean Kerr, Michael Kerr, and Conner Kerr. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Price, Sidney Thompson, Joe Miller, Jimmy Harrell, Lavert Mcgee, Tom Cash, the staff of Aurora Australis Lodge, and Dr. Brad Brown.
