Mrs. Frances Locke Dies after Lingering Illness Funeral Services Held Monday Afternoon at the Family Residence B. August 1854 D. November 16, 1914 After an illness of several months, Mrs. Cooper Frances Locke, wife of Mr. Jesse Locke, passed away Sunday night at her home, 1804 College Street. Mrs. Locke had been in poor health for several years and for two months had been confined to her bed, suffering from a complication of diseases. She was a consistent member of the First M.E. Church and lived up to its doctrines. She was a true friend, a good neighbor, and was ever anxious to help those who needed help. Besides a devoted husband, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Dan Mosby, and two brothers, Dr. G. B. Clement, of Meridian, and Dr. W. A. Clement, of Rural Hill. To these bereaved ones, the Commercial extends heartfelt sympathy. The funeral occurred at three-thirty o'clock Monday afternoon at the family residence and the remains were interred at Friendship Cemetery, Dr. W. L. Duren conducting the last sad rites. The pall bearers were: Dr. W. W. Westmoreland, Sr. Hon. James T. Harrison, Messrs. Parker Reeves, R. D. Brooks, G. D. Harris, C. H. Ayres, and J. K. Egger.
